What Sharon did next

I've been slowly coming around to the change of pace in my life since I closed the café a whole 42 days ago.

Since then, I've spent some time resting here:
Our dog Jimmy likes resting here too
I've cleared the café of all I had put into it.

I've spent lots of time sitting here, slowly getting back into my writing work.

I've had time to walk the dog, who is absolutely thrilled with the new arrangement.

And I took a trip to Belfast and Northern Ireland too, the highlights of which I will share with you in my next post.

I hope you're all well and heading into the end-of-year festivities in fine form.

  1. Hi Sharon, I didn't realise you had closed the café. I'm very slowly catching up with others news sorry I missed that. But I have to say 'well done, you'. So many people are too afraid to take a chance they have a life of regrets and so many are afraid to revise decisions that I really admire you for opening the café, making it an award winning place, then having the ability to see if that venture suits where you are at the moment and doing something about it. We have only one life so do with it what you think is best.

so I hope you enjoy this 'in-between' times as no doubt some other venture will pop up (it may already be popping already) and you'll have renewed energy, lots of experience and a happy soul to make a success of it. Here's to the future!

  2. Thanks so much for your kind comment, Ailbhe!
People often say that you live to regret the things that you didn't do as opposed to the things you wish you hadn't. The latter shape you as a person whereas the former leave you with a lingering sense of 'what if'. So, at least I won't have that!
And as for other ventures, I have some vague ideas but nothing solid just yet. I'm enjoying having a low-key, more easy-going life for now.
But as you say, here's to the future! I'm sure it'll be full of surprises for us all!
